To the next 100 years

At YONEYAMA KAGAKU KOGYO KAISHA, LTD., we celebrated our centennial in 2018. “Towards the next 100 years”—this is our major mission for the future.

To the next 100 years

What we need to do is take on challenges: the challenge of creating one-of-a-kind value, the challenge of pursuing customer needs and creating new markets, the challenge of manufacturing products with high performance and other high added value, and the challenge of developing a range of services for the world. By continuing to tackle these challenges, we will further enhance our corporate value.

What we need to do is practice: practice harmony and cooperation, practice social contribution and self-realization, and practice self-enlightenment and self-improvement. We will continue to firmly maintain the safety and peace of mind underlying the corporate foundation and philosophy that we have always held dear.

Fusing the trust and technology that we have built and need to protect with new ideas and technologies that we are taking on, we aim to be a company that not only our customers but all of our stakeholders can rely on even more, bringing smiles to their faces.

We are working to fulfill our corporate social responsibility by earning the trust and meeting the expectations of our clients, shareholders, employees, local residents and all our stakeholders.These activities are designed to let us create a company that gives back to the community, earns the trust of our users, and instills work with a sense of pride and satisfaction.

Guidelines for Fulfilling CSR Obligations

  1. 1. Obey laws and regulations; act for the common good.
    Yoneyama acts in ways designed to earn the trust of all stakeholders by conscientiously complying with all applicable laws and regulations, and acting for the common good when performing business operations.
    We stay clear of any ties to organized criminal enterprises that could threaten public order or security, and work tirelessly with the police, industry groups and local companies to combat these enterprises.
    To ensure compliance with laws and corporate ethics more effectively, we have created workplace regulations and in-house rules, make improvement efforts, and work to uphold in-house standards through measures such as education and training.
  2. 2. Provide safe, high-quality products and services that ensure client satisfaction.
    When providing products and services, we ensure safety and quality by approaching these tasks as CSR obligations.
    If a safety or quality problem arises in a product or service provided to a client, we respond rapidly and in good faith to minimize the impact of the incident and prevent its recurrence.
  3. 3. Respect human rights; ensure healthy and pleasant workplace environments free of discrimination and harassment.
    We observe all applicable human rights- and labor-related laws and regulations. We work for the common good to eliminate all human rights violations such as acts of discrimination or harassment on the basis of race, nationality, belief, religion, gender or the like.
    We manage work hours and wages appropriately, promote health and safety measures, and work to create workplace environments conducive to mental and physical health and well-being.
  4. 4. Engage in good-faith and fair transactions with trading partners to promote mutual growth.
    We engage in fair trade, observing all applicable competition laws, import/export-related laws and other laws on trading practices.
    Our purchasing transactions are fair and equitable trades conducted under equal terms and on a reasonable basis without seeking undue personal gain.
    We never engage in acts of bribery of politicians or government officials, make clear distinctions between personal and professional ties when entertaining trading partners, and build highly transparent relationships.
  5. 5. Handle management resources appropriately.
    We use people, objects, money, information, time and other management resources efficiently and never for personal objectives.
    We handle personal information and confidential information in an appropriate and well-regimented manner, never disclosing or leaking this information.
    Our information systems are designed to adequately anticipate data theft and falsification, and we have foolproof information security measures to prevent information leakage or other problems.
    We do not seek personal or third-party gains by using a status or right associated with business operations or information obtained from business operations. We do not engage in acts that would significantly damage company reputations.
  6. 6. Actively work on preserving the environment and ensuring safety.
    We work on preventing global warming through activities such as energy- and resource-saving, on managing chemicals, and on reducing environmental impact by using resources effectively, reducing waste and the like.
    Ensuring safety is a continual concern throughout all our production, distribution and other activities. We promote health and safety to create worry-free workplaces for employees.

    We understand the importance of helping to make the world a better place. Through local hiring and other measures, we aim to promote the growth of local regions and actively take part in activities that give back to the community.
